Avon Data half-year update

What a year we’ve had so far, from the all-consuming World Cup and the delight of GDPR to the sizzling summer heatwave. And the first half of 2018 has been just as hot for Avon Data!

We’ve picked out some key developments from the last six months:

New clients

We’re thrilled to have teamed up with some fantastic new hotel names this year.

To name just a few: The Garrison, an old police station turned brand new four-star hotel in Fort William, Bignall Park, a charming hotel brimming with character set in the heart of Oxfordshire and Tweedies Bar and Lodge, a laid-back but stylish property with breathtaking views of the Lake District and Michelin Star hotel Hurley House a chic boutique hotel in Berkshire.

It’s also been fantastic this year working with Network Rail implementing our hotel management software and event management software into their state-of-the-art workforce development centre in Westwood, Coventry.

New updates for long-standing clients

We want the best for our loyal clients so it’s always a pleasure to pay them a visit to upgrade their hotel software.

The Bedford Hotel in Lytham St Annes has undergone a new system upgrade after being an Avon Data client for a whopping 28 years.

New faces

The first half of 2018 brought with it a brilliant period of growth for Avon Data. We were thrilled to welcome Sannah Mundy and Damian Migocki to our customer service team in March. Their expertise and enthusiasm has been gratefully received by the all of the team.

Our team is set to expand further as we’re about to start recruiting for an account manager to join our office in Bristol. If you’re interested, keep your eyes peeled, we’ll be posting the full job description soon.

New features

This year we released our automatic end-of-day feature to our PMS Hotel Executive to meet growing demand to streamline and automate processes and to save staff time and help eliminate mistakes.

In addition, we have introduced some fantastic data protection features to help you achieve GDPR compliance.  Check out this blog post for more information.

Great progress has also been made on our brand new state of the art browser based PMS.  Watch this space!!

New partner

We are really pleased to have partnered with GuestRevu. The integration with our PMS Hotel Executive will enable our customers to proactively invite and manage guest feedback.

New adventures

We’re thrilled to be sponsoring the small/boutique hotels category at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards. We’re very much looking forward to the award ceremony which will be held in Brighton in December.
