Avon Data to host free training sessions throughout 2017

Our free training sessions last month were such a huge success, we have decided to make them a regular feature throughout 2017.

To ensure all our clients get the most out of their hotel management software, we will be hosting free training days every month at our head office in Bristol.

Our technical director Mark Cade who has more than 15 years’ experience in hotel management software, and his expert team will be on hand to talk visitors through Hotel Executive and its latest features.

Attendees will learn how best to use the different functions of the property management system including the planner, the booking form and SiteMinder integration, the tariff matrix, reporting, guest history and SMS messaging.

Clients can come along to refresh their knowledge of the whole system, share any queries and pick up general advice to ensure they maximise the benefits of the system for their hotel.

Nicky Whittaker, director of Merchant House and Mannings Hotel in Truro, who came along to one of our training sessions in February, said: “It was great to spend time with Avon Data’s team as they were able to answer questions on any problems we were having – usually user error!

“Mark was extremely patient and knowledgeable on all aspects of the training and he taught us about lot of features that we hadn’t yet utilised. It was great to have the training as we aren’t always aware of the new features and reports being added to the program.

“The seminars are a great way to get up to date. We learnt how to use the new guest engagement which we are very interested in. We’d definitely be interested in more seminars so our businesses are kept up to date on the technology.”

Mark and his team will also provide demonstrations of some of the newer features introduced over the last 12 months, including:

  • The hosted version of Hotel Executive created for clients who prefer to have their system hosted in the cloud than installed as software on their own server
  • HE-Remote which enables hotel managers to login and manage several different hotels from one location
  • The guest engagement module which automatically sends up to four expertly designed, branded emails during and after the booking process to ensure you maximise up-selling and marketing opportunities with all visitors
  • HE-Secure Plus which is a new PCI-compliant payment module developed in partnership with WorldPay and TokenEx for securely handling guests’ payment card data, saving time and hugely reducing the hotel’s vulnerability.

The first free training session will take place on Wednesday 26th April. Other dates will be released in due course.
