We need a new developer to join our team. You’ll be working on new development as well as enhancements to our hotel management software for existing clients.
Being a member of a small team, you’ll be making valuable contributions throughout the full SDLC. We’ll want you to hit the ground running, so you should have experience working independently to see projects through from requirements-gathering to delivery.
We aim to work to a good standard of quality at a productive rate. It’s important to avoid both over-engineering the code and rushing work leaving a mess behind. You should be able to show that you’re able to work in this way.
You’ll have a super-fast development machine, with Visual Studio 2013 with the ReSharper plug-in.
We use the .Net Framework, using LINQ, Generics and the TPL. We’re looking for someone to contribute strong front-end web development skills in addition to handling backend work.
Our codebase includes stored procedures and functions which go way beyond the standard CRUD operations, so an excellent grasp of SQL and experience with a modern RDBMS is required.
A solid understanding of Object Orientation is essential, as is experience with at least one version control system.
You should be comfortable working with Web Services, and any experience with functional programming and Rx is desirable.
Because we are a fairly small company where you won’t be just a number, you’ll need to be a thorough and self-motivated developer, committed to creating good software.
You should be a creative and determined problem solver, with a flexible and thoughtful approach to development.
You need to have spent at least the last three years in a pure development role.
The team and the office
We have a relaxed environment and casual dress code. Our air conditioned offices are newly refurbished and offer free onsite parking.
You will be part of a friendly and supportive technical team, comprising developers, testers, and a tech-savvy support and installation team.
We like to eat together on Fridays, and get together to let our hair down every so often.
